First Pictures with Canon 40D

These are a few of the first pictures that I took with my new Canon 40D. I was mostly just trying to get a feel for the camera and learn how to use it. I have a lot to learn. The pictures on this page were taken with the Canon EF 50mm f1.8 lens. These pictures are 100% crops that have just been scaled to size with Gimp. (Except for the obvious two that are full size crops of the previous photo.) The has been no sharpening, contrast adjustment, etc.
